NEPAL, THE KIND TOURIST COUNTRY, WHERE MIRACLES ARE HAPPENING

 

During many years we are in touch with the great leader of the Kirati tribes. The Kirati are tribals in eastern Nepal, and as well a monotheist religion. Their leader is guru Atmananda. Under his leadership about one million Kirati are considering the possibility of following Jesus Christ. This is a breath taking phenomenon.

At the same time the Facilite Foundation is leading break throughs among several trial groups and casts. Among them the Santali (12,000,000), living in Nepal and mainly in India and Bangla Desh. Part of our literature has been translated in their language. Many come to know Christ. A similar movement is taking place among the Rajbansi (16,000,000) living in the same three countries. Then a pioneering work started among the eastern branch of the Chowdhari tribe (over 80.000, a Tharu speaking people). Great work is going on among the small Dhimal tribe (35,000; becoming now mainly Christian). Important inroads among the Nepali is found as well among the Maji groups and the tailor related casts, among others. Many hundreds are turning to the Light of all lights.

Personal evangelism combined with basic Bible study in small groups for follow up is tool that is well used nowadays in Nepal and in India as well. Many thousands of new believers are participating in studying a small booklet (‘Stand up!’), developed to guide those without any Bible knowledge. This has been translated int Nepali, Hindi and Santali, and soon the Bengal language will follow as well.
